I always end up making weird fantasy type stuff that I'm not happy with. Is anyone out there wishing they had a comprehensive set of environment models of a specific style and genre? i will be providing these for the community for free when they are done. mostly for practice.

Hmm.. what do you mean by environmental models?

Our project would need some medieval type of objects like castle walls, stairs or something similar. I could provide you with pictures how they should look like Wink

Or maybe you'd be interested in joining our project?
We're making Runescape with Unity3d, project has been going on for 4 months+ and we're aiming high.
We've been more into server and similar content development for the project, but now when we got 3d multiplayer done we need some graphical work Wink
We're looking for Animators, people like you to create some basic in-game objects and terrain designers.
We don't have any budget and we're all working in our free time, there's no rush. If the game turns out successful we'll share the profits with all team members Wink

If you want to join us let me know Wink

EDIT:
by the way, the models for our game are not going to be "fantasy type" (like WoW), but we're aiming for it to be good quality with high res textures etc Razz

How about a nice baseball stadium ? I already have one complete (in max) that works in game and could use a second.

Its not weird fantasy but its kinda cool.

I don't really have much knowledge of baseball parks. I don't think I would be qualified to make one, that said, can I see the model you already have? maybe I can build a few variants.

pm sent on runescape project

I'd love to have a set of building blocks to build cities out of. Think of it like tiles with road sections that can be configured to make a city. You could then add blocks with various building types.

I love the look of this model.

It would be nice if it were in blocks. Of course, I'd want to use this on the iphone so a low poly count and shared textures would be great.

ES3DStudios has a nice collection of different types of blocks that can be used together to make city scenes. Of course, they are all pretty high res but you get the idea.

I would be willing to work on that, but my texturing is only so-so. Ill build the models and maybe someone will come up with textures. Does the I-phone support normal maps?

Technically it does but it would be best to avoid them for speed reasons.
