Bit of an odd story...
I've been in the games industry for over 8 years now (as an artist - now in management) and have what I consider to be a good chunk of experience in game development.
Problem is, the only content I actually get to make now, is personal work. Management really sucks the life out of what was once a fun job, and I end up going home with this "creative energy" all stored up, but no solid direction / lack of motivation to use it. I seem to work best when with other people...if I'm left to my own devices, I fear I'll end up in WoW again
Anyways, if anyone is looking for an artist (concept, environment, character, FX, or UI), PM me, and we can chat! |

Hello,
Are you looking for a paid job? Or working for free as well? |

If you're serious about looking for work or joining a team, post a link to a portfolio and a few example pic's of your work. You've got lots of competition out there, so posting your work will help motivate people to contact you.
And you're right, management sucks. |

I'm sorry to hear that you don't have an outlet at work. I hope you find one teaming up with people here, though!
I second the call for a portfolio, but maybe you want to stay anonymous for now.
Also, if you're interested in going indie at some point, I'd recommend changing your (and possibly your family's) lifestyle to the cheapest you're comfortable with and saving up as much money as possible. You'll need it. _________________ /////////////////////////

Heh - figured I missed something *semi-important* in my last post. I blame the late hours.
I'm not looking for anything paid - Just a relaxed project that I can help out with in my spare time.

I just hate showing my work lately, as I don't get to spend as much time on it anymore. I've also got a bunch of new content I need to put up there, so hopefully this lights the fire under my ass
Thanks for the responses guys. |

Wow - totally overwhelmed by all the positive responses, and offers. I had no idea the community was this active, or full of so many awesome projects (having just discovered Unity about 1 week ago..lol )
I've found an interesting project to help out with, and I'm looking forward to being able to contribute my time and talent. Thanks to everyone who PM'd me. I had a ton of great stuff to pick from, and you guys didn't make it easy!
So glad I found out about Unity. It's kinda like finding a bunch of extra money in some old shorts that you forgot about...but way better...and not as smelly

Hi ACrumb,
I was wondering if you got my message about project collaboration? |
