Is the objects supported in the new version to Unity?
I am going to be upgrading from 4.x to 5.x tonight but want to make sure I am not going to hang myself with an inability to import models from Cheetah to Unity 2.5.1

Cheetah 3D 5? WTF, theres no such thing. Only until recently was 4 released. Either way, there souldent be any problems at all, as long as it can export to FBX, dont worry. What really sucks for me, I bought version 3.7 just a few weeks before 4 came out.. Sad makes me sad..

But I have a lot of learning to do to get there!

Hmm... I thought most of the users who bought cheetah 3D in the last year or so had gotten an email that v5 was a free update for them.

nope, I dident get anything. I think only #.x versions are free (4.1, 4.2, ect..), but whole versions need to be paid for.

Send Martin an email. If you bought Cheetah 4 in the last year or so, I believe he is giving you an upgrade to 5. I purchased 4.x in April and I received an email with a new license key for 5.x shortly before he released the software.

Actually more or less after he put cheetah up on the "food for your mac" project last year. Bought mine someone in 08 too and got the free upgrade.

Ok, I looked back through my records. The email I got for the 5.0 update was sent out on October 4th. It references a cutoff date for users who purchased Cheetah 3D on or after January 24th, 2008. So, if you bought the app within that time period, you should have an update coming to you.
